Low Impact Paintball — Recommended Ages 10–13
Our 50 caliber Low Impact Paintball Equipment is specially crafted for players aged 10 to 13. These 50 caliber GOG Enmey paintball markers are smaller and lighter than the traditional 68 caliber version, perfect for participants who want to dive into the action without the worries of being hit as hard. A 50 caliber paintball is designed to be half the size and deliver only 1/3 of the punch of a traditional 68 caliber paintball.
Parents can rest assured their children will have a blast while learning essential teamwork and strategic skills in a controlled and secure environment. To ensure a safe experience, our Low Impact games are separate from Traditional paintball games — for this reason, we recommend groups reserving Low Impact be large enough to play games amongst themselves. Low Impact equipment is limited and in high demand, so be sure to make a reservation.
The Physics: 50 Cal vs. 68 Cal
Using the kinetic energy formula E = ½ × mass × velocity²:
| Type | Weight | Speed | Impact |
|---|---|---|---|
| Traditional .68 Cal | 3.2 g | 280 fps | 11.65 J |
| Low Impact .50 Cal | 1.3 g | 250 fps | 3.77 J |
That’s a 68% reduction in impact energy — making Low Impact paintball the perfect choice for younger players or those hesitant to try traditional paintball.
For context, the graph below compares Low Impact paintball impact to being hit by a pitched baseball, sampled across ages 8–18 (baseball weight: 148.84 g, same formula).
